product details
The selection of materials for non-metallic expansion joints needs to be based on various parameters and environmental factors, and the materials for each part of the expansion joint should be selected separately. The various components that make up non-metallic expansion joints are different and play different roles. When selecting materials, targeted selection is necessary.
Non metallic skin: It plays a role in sealing and pressure resistance, and is a flexible component for vibration reduction and absorption of pipeline displacement. The material needs to have good extensibility and corrosion resistance. The outer skin is coated with a layer of rubber material. When used for sealing purposes, silicone rubber and fluororubber can prevent corrosion based on the chemical properties of the medium used. The selection of skin needs to be based on the temperature of the medium and whether it contains corrosiveness.
Stainless steel wire mesh: Whether installation is required, whether it is installed on the inner or outer layer, needs to be considered for positive or negative pressure. Placed on the outer layer of the skin under positive pressure to protect it from scratches, and placed on the inner side of the skin under negative pressure to avoid being sucked in.
Insulation packing: mainly used to isolate the external heat transfer of the medium and the heat transfer from the metal frame, reducing the vibration generated by the equipment. Usually, when the temperature is less than 150 ℃, insulation packing can be omitted.
Metal frame: one end is connected to the pipeline for support, and the other end is connected to the non-metallic expansion joint. The selection of materials needs to consider the internal medium and the insulation method used in the pipeline. Carbon steel or stainless steel is usually chosen.
